Myst 3: Exile is the third title in the Myst series of graphic adventure puzzle video games. I previously played and solved the first 2 games many years ago on a Windows XP PC, and I had installed Myst 3: Exile on XP before and started a game but didnt get too far into it and never picked it. The M3S game data files are related to Myst 3: Exile. I own the '10th Anniversary DVD Edition' of the Myst collection which includes the original Myst Masterpiece Edition, Riven, and Myst 3: Exile. Unless you have an old computer or a virtual drive with an old OS (we're talking pre-Windows XP here) on it, it's unlikely that the first two versions will even run, regardless of what you purchase them on (GOG, Steam or physical copy).
